Android Beta — Estonia

Turning idle chargers into shared power.

EV Charge Flows is a peer-to-peer EV charger sharing marketplace, live in Estonia — connecting private charger owners with drivers, the way Airbnb connected spare rooms with travelers.

The problem we saw

Public EV charging in Estonia is expensive and concentrated in a handful of cities — while thousands of privately owned chargers sit unused for most of the day. Drivers juggle a different app for every operator, with no unified pricing or advance booking.

Meanwhile, the person who installed a home or workplace charger has no way to earn anything back from it. The asset just sits there, depreciating.

What we built

EV Charge Flows connects that idle supply directly to the drivers who need it. Hosts list a charger, set a price, and let our IoT module handle remote access — no key handovers, no manual coordination. Drivers search, book, navigate, and pay end to end in one app.

It's the same marketplace mechanic that made Airbnb and Turo work, applied to the specific technical needs of EV charging: connector compatibility, session-based metering, and remote access control.

Why Estonia

A compact, deeply digital Baltic market with dense public charging, proven EV policy, and the world’s first nationwide fast-charging network.

12K+

EV charging pioneer

Estonia built the world's first nationwide EV fast-charging network back in 2013 — a head start that still shows in today's dense charger map, now serving around 12,000 electric cars.

2050

Carbon-neutral by 2050

Estonia has committed to climate neutrality by 2050 — in line with EU-wide policy — with an interim milestone in 2035, signalling real policy weight behind the shift to electric transport.

1,100+

A network still catching up

With roughly 1,100 public charging locations nationwide, demand for charging access is outpacing the public network — exactly the gap a peer-to-peer marketplace is built to fill.
